Treatment history

One of the main advantages of Cliniccards is that a doctor can as quickly as possible identify the current treatment stage of a patient. This is ensured by the dynamic patient treatment history where an unrestricted number of files of all formats (for example, images, video, 3D and dental panoramic X-rays) is stored in the chronological order.

A characteristic feature of a patient treatment history in Cliniccards is that a specialist can share the history or a patient treatment history stage with other specialists. This option is usually used for online consilium or to send patient photo diagnosis data to a laboratory.

A doctor can easily understand, which manipulations have already been performed and which are planned, when the whole treatment process is managed in Cliniccards.

It is really simple to fill in a patient treatment history in Cliniccards because work with a treatment history consists of three steps:

1. Create a new patient treatment history stage (manually or through the treatment plan).

A specialist shall click the Create button to create a new stage and make a record in a patient treatment plan.

Treatment stages are created automatically when the manipulations provided by a treatment plan are performed. Herewith, an option of automatic creation of the patient treatment plan stages can be activated for quick acts. To do so, go to the section Settings → Other → Clinic settings. Option "Create a Treatment History Stage when a Manipulation Provided by a Quick Act is Performed".

2. Download a patient diagnosis file.

The first diagnosis stage for a first-time patient is, mainly, a photo diagnosis required during a consulting visit. A photo protocol has been used for a long time by the leading dentists as a key method that ensures high quality of a patient's clinical case diagnosis.

A doctor or his/her assistant can easily upload ready images, periapical and/or dental panoramic X-rays and any other files into the patient treatment history.

There are two ways to upload files in Cliniccards:

  • When a new patient treatment history stage is created, click to add a photo. You can also click the button to add an image to the already created comment in a treatment history.
  • Upload all images into the photostream and then divide them among the patient cards.

Cliniccards has a photo editor that is available when working with images in the Patient Treatment History and Photo Flow.

To enter the editing mode and access the editor tools, select the photo you want to edit and click Edit .

For more information on how the Photo Editor works, see the Photo Editor Manual section.

Cliniccards also provides a variety of opportunities for work with images in a patient treatment history. To use them, click the Select Files button in the left menu and then select the necessary files. The following parameters are available:

  • Click the to the photostream button to transfer the selected files from a patient card to your photostream.
This is how you won’t be able to transfer the accidentally downloaded files to the other patient card through the photostream.
  • Upload an archive of selected files.
Select the appropriate files in the patient treatment history and click the Upload button in the left menu.
To select all files, first select the first files from the patient treatment history, then press the key Shift on the keyboard of your device and select the last file in the patient treatment history.
  • Select a patient profile photo.
Click the Set a profile photo button in the left menu and select a photo from the patient treatment history.
  • Make a Collage of the selected images.
The function Create a collage is convenient to make presentations or show a state of health before and after treatment to a patient. Select the images from the patient history in the sequence you want to show them on the collage and then click the Create a collage button in the left menu.

ADD COMMENTS TO THE TREATMENT HISTORY

A doctor is obliged to describe every patient visit and performed manipulation in the medical documents. Usually, it takes a lot of time.

The treatment history stages are created in Cliniccards by default when a doctor performs a manipulation. A doctor can edit them by adding a detailed description of a patient clinical scenario. Use available diagnosis templates or change them in compliance with your clinic specialization and provided services to accelerate the process. Go to Settings → Other → Diagnosis templates to edit the templates.

To add a diagnosis or a template to describe a clinical scenario in the patient treatment history, click the button when you edit a patient treatment history stage and select the appropriate template from the list of already created templates.

If you want to get a comment as to the treatment stage from another specialist, select the appropriate doctor by clicking @ symbol on the toolbar when you create a stage in a treatment history of a patient. In this case the doctor receives a target message and can add his/her own comment to the diagnosis.

EDITING A COMMENT BY OTHER USERS

Cliniccards allows other users to edit your comments at the Treatment history stage. This feature is convenient for teamwork during a treatment phase, functioning similarly to Google Docs. Each participant can add, correct, and enhance comments, resulting in a well-rounded and high-quality summary.

To allow others to edit your comment, do the following:

  1. Create a new Treatment plan stage and write your comment there
    or click Edit comment pencil next to a comment you previously created on a specific treatment stage;
  2. Turn on the Allow others to edit the comment switch;
  3. Click Save.

Now, other specialists will see the Edit comment pencil to the right of your comment and, by clicking on it, will be able to add something if necessary.

At any time, you can turn off the Allow others to edit comment checkbox, and other users will no longer be able to edit your comment.

The history of all comments and their edits can be tracked in the Editing log: Reports → Editing log.

SHARE A PATIENT TREATMENT STAGE

In Cliniccards you can plan a patient treatment together with the doctors having other specializations. To do so, you just need to share a patient card or an individual stage with the appropriate specialist (surgeon, therapeutist or dental technician). To share the data:

1. Create a new treatment stage containing the appropriate information (patient data, materials, types of works and terms) and files. Click the Save button to save the stage.

2. Share a stage with a specialist.

Click + in the top right corner of a treatment stage. Enter a specialist last name or email (used for registration in the service) in the search box.

Select a profile of the appropriate specialist from the search results.

A notification will be promptly sent to the specialist. It is available when the specialist clicks the icon Letter on the top toolbar in his/her personal space.

The card with the treatment stages you have shared is by default in a catalog of patient cards of the specialist personal space. Or this card will be in the card catalog of the clinic selected as the main one in My profile

All specialists having access to the history and/or patient treatment history stages are specified in a patient card and at every treatment stage.

Herewith, specialists can create hidden stages in patient cards. These stages are available only to these specialists. Click the icon Lock left of the Create a New Stage button to create the stage in a treatment history.
