The Periodontal chart

The Periodontal chart in Cliniccards allows you to quickly and conveniently describe periodontal cases. The work of filling it in is performed in the Treatment history section of the patient's chart.

To create a Periodontal chart form as a new step in the treatment history, click the Periodontal chart button. After that the system will generate a new stage of treatment history with a Periodontal chart.

In such a stage, you can describe each tooth of the upper and lower jaw vestibularly and orally. Using parameters such as:

  • Tooth status ( available, missing, implant, crown, intermediate part);
  • Mobility;
  • Furcation;
  • Bleeding on Probing;
  • Suppuration;
  • Plaque;
  • Gingival margin;
  • Probing depth.

Please note! The Probing depth parameter has a color indication depending on the probing index.

  • If the probing index is from 1 to 3, the depth will be indicated in green color.
  • If the probing index is 4 or 5, the depth will be indicated in orange.
  • If the probing index is 6 or more, the depth will be indicated in red.

The quick keys for the parameters Bleeding, Suppuration and Plaque allow you to set these parameters in seconds! Each of these keys corresponds to one of the letters in the English-language parameter name:

  • Bleeding - key B (Bleeding);
  • Suppuration - key S (Suppuration);
  • Plague - key P (Plague);
  • The Tab key moves the cursor to the next mark.
    Note that when describing teeth vestibularly, the cursor moves from right to left, and when orally, from left to right, which corresponds to the logistics of periodontal diagnosis.

Once all the necessary parameters have been set for all teeth, click Save. A new step will be created in the patient's treatment history with a schematic representation of the periodontal formula and with the calculated:

  • percentage of bleeding;
  • percentage of suppuration;
  • percentage of plaque;
  • average probing depth;
  • and average attachment level.

If you click the button Copy in the upper right corner of the treatment step, you can create a Dental formula that is based on the created Periodontal chart, in which all diagnostic data will be entered at once.

The filled Periodontal Chart can be displayed in full-size or reduced mode. To change the viewing mode, click the Change view button in the upper right corner of the treatment stage.

The completed Periodontal Chart can be printed by clicking the Print button.
